Hi everyone,
With the price drop on the KNFB reader I thought I'd see about purchasing it, even though I only have a 4S and probably can't use it yet? I am a very avid gamer, and one major thing I'd want it for would be to scan large amounts of text on my TV, all nicely formatted and all into text I could read with voiceover. I can read it visually, but very slowly. Has anyone attempted to scan something like a document on their computer, or anything on TV? It's probably about a 14 or 16 point font if that helps, no ornimentation or anything. I heard it may be less accurate, but I wanted to check before I spent the money on it. Thank you very much.l
much less accurate, and less likely to be as orderly and organized as you'd wish. I've used it several times to diagnose computers that aren't booting in to windows ETC, when eyes aren't around and I've been successful, but usually it's cause I can piece it all together.
I have a client using it on a 4s, and while it's slow, it do work your milage may very. y
THanks Big Dog. I'd primarily be scanning big blocks of text. Not too concernned about formatting. Accuracy though would be good. I appreciate your response.
It depends on what you're trying to scan. I've had rather good luck scanning huge blocks of text in video games.
As post 2 said, organization can be a problem, when you use it to work with windows, bios and the like. But it will get the job done.
Great, t hanks. I have enough sight to work with some of the above stuff you mentioned. I can read print, but when it comes to large blocks of text I find it much faster to read auditorally or tactally. I may have to grab me that app after all.:)
I'm in the same boat. So you should have good luck.
Well it's all a moot point now. Turns out it's back up to $119. Perhaps another time.
